Skill / Strength: EMOM

WOD: Elizabeth with a 50kg bar instead of the RX 60kg.  2nd attempt at this WoD this time heavier and faster. Managed the first set of 21 unbroken. Time 6:37


Sunday 9th July 2017

WOD: Myself and T took this on, looked OK on paper but soon got brutal.  I scaled the Overheads from 20kg to 10kg but even with that wait struggled.  Rope climbs were good however the last round was absolute torture.  Time 30 mins 50 seconds.

Five rounds for time of:
15′ Rope climb, 3 ascents
10 Toes to bar
21 Walking lunge steps with 45lb plate held overhead
Run 400 meters

U.S. Army First Lieutenant Ashley White, 24, of Alliance, Ohio, assigned to the 230th Brigade Support Battalion, 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team, North Carolina National Guard, based in Goldsboro, North Carolina, died on October 22, 2011 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, from wounds suffered when insurgents attacked her unit with an improvised explosive device. She is survived by her husband Captain Jason Stumpf, her parents Robert and Deborah, brother Josh, and sister Brittney.

Skill / Strength: Warmed up with 50kg but completed the EMOM with 45kg.

WOD: Attempted Isabel in November 2016 and scaled to 40kg  with a Time of 3:49.  Went a bit heavier this time with 45kg and a faster time of 2 minutes 14 seconds, BIG improvement in 6 months!


Tuesday 13th June 2017

Skill / Strength: New Hang power Clean PR for 5RM @ 75kg

WOD: Scaled this as 60kg would have been very slow and speed was required. Used 50kg (unbroken Hang Power Cleans), and broke up the Push Press into 2 sets with scores of 12, 10, 13.


Thursday 8th June 2017

Skill / Strength: E2M For 10 minutes 2 Push Press. Started at 50kg then increased weight to 60, 70, 72, and finally 73kg which is a new 2RM PR.

WOD: HSPU Reps started at 2, then increased by 2 each round 2,4,6,8,10…….. After the first three rounds scaled the HSPU to Push-ups.



Monday 5th June 2017

Skill / Strength: I like the Muscle Snatch, 1RM @ 57.5 kg which is a  new PR  by 12.5 kg!

WOD: This was a nasty EMOM,  even scaling down to 30kg (after the first round) I struggled to get 10 Power Snatches and visit the Bar within the minute.  I only scored four rounds times (3,2,1,1). Maybe the refreshments from the night before were taking their toll!
